Position: Planning Manager

(Alameda, California)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Planning Manager, providing leadership to the manufacturing organization on planning issues; focusing on developing and improving the product and capacity planning processes to suit the changing needs of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:-
• Lead and improve the Sales and Operation planning process.
• Master Scheduling
• Develop an effective organization to support capacity and product planning.
• Manage optimization of inventory throughout the business.
• Develop the capacity planning model.
• Manage and develop integrated planning, availability, stock and COTD
   systems for all mainline product and spares.
• Work with Supply Chain Management and CM's to ensure effective planning
   processes support our 3rd party suppliers.
• Establish best practices and effective utilization of our MRP system (IFS).
• Work with product management to ensure effective planning of new products
   and obsolescence programs.
• Provide effective leadership to build and develop a cohesive, highly customer
   focused team, providing regular performance feedback and coaching and
   mentoring as required.

We are looking for candidates with:
• Experience of master scheduling and production planning
• Knowledge of capacity planning and S&OP processes
• MRPII and lean processes, ideally with experience of implementing
   MRP / ERP systems
• Experience of working with off-shore contract manufacturers
• Optimizing COTD achievement and controlling stocks to maximum efficiency
• Strong customer orientation
• Able to manage multiple projects
• Able to contribute to a high performing team
