Position: Senior Planner

(Alameda, California)

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Planner primarily responsible for preparing a Production plan based upon forecast requirements and Company inventory guidelines.

The job holder will ensure all work orders due dates/material requirements planning (MRP) dates are maintained and updated accordingly and ensure that components are available in a timely manner required for production. You will develop a schedule that utilizes labor and materials in an efficient and cost conscious manner and make recommendations to the Planning Manager and Production Manager to start a manufacturing operation through the issuance of the daily production schedule / work orders.

In addition this role will analyze material shortages, review order progress, adjusting plans and schedules as necessary and analyze inventory, with a focus on reduction.

A confident communication, you will hold daily production and shortage meetings and coordinate and communicate all plans, schedules, changes and modifications to appropriate personnel in the Planning & Purchasing and the Production departments.

Focused on processes and with excellent attention to detail you will conduct ECO analysis and implementation and implement work order and WIP purges correctly and coordinate spares sales order shipments

With an excellent understanding of MPS and MRP, the successful candidate will assist in reviewing and streamlining current processes, making recommendations and driving through change.

Suitable candidates will have at least 5 years experience in Planning, Purchasing and Supply Chain within electronics manufacturing, ideally with some knowledge of master scheduling and experience in the transfer of products to contract manufacturers. You will be a methodical and detail oriented and logical problem solver with an excellent knowledge of Excel. A pro-active team player, you will be motivated by continuous improvement and a driver of change.
