TELE+ Television – Milan, Italy

TELE+ (Also known as Telepiu, a part of the Canal Group) is Italy's largest cable/pay-per-view operator. Their 90 channels (72 video and 18 radio) include a cross-section of entertainment, sports, and news channels from around the world. This organization receives the foreign feeds and rebroadcasts them in Italian, complete with new graphics.

The main facility has nine transponders and three production studios as well as a full in-house graphic-design department. TELE+ does many large productions which need advanced intercoms in the main production facility as well as remote sites. A typical production would be a major soccer contest with teams in 16 different stadiums throughout Europe, with an OB van at each site connected via ISDN to the production center.

The communications system includes four non-linked Matrix Plus digital intercom frames with approximately 50 intercom display stations. The system also feeds a two-channel Clear-Com party-line intercom with RS-502 beltpacks.
