Clear-Com^® receives four orders for CellCom
Digital Wireless Intercom

Beijing TV, one of the largest networks in China announced the purchase of the most advanced digital wireless intercom product, CellCom, from Clear-Com Communication Systems, with operations in Emeryville, California, USA & Cambridge, UK, before the official opening of the BIRTV 2004 exhibition in Beijing, China.

Among the recent CellCom orders are also several other prestigious broadcasters that deployed CellCom for complex communications in the Athens 2004 Olympics:

   were used for the broadcast of sports venues.
• PA People of Australia deployed several CellCom digital wireless systems
   at the Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
• PrimeVision of Denmark installed CellCom digital wireless systems on it's
   HD OB truck at Athens.

CellCom digital wireless intercom system is a revolutionary new concept that combines digital transmission with an intelligent base station that interconnects with wired communications, such as party-line and digital Matrix systems. The system operates above the UHF television bands, and is license-free in over 100 countries.

CellCom allows users to go beyond the typical party-line or even two-channel capability of conventional VHF and UHF wireless intercom. It enables one-to-one and small group conversation initiated from the beltpack.

The intelligent 1-RU base station supports up to ten full-duplex wireless beltpacks, and two bases can be joined to make larger systems. The rear panel interfaces with party-line and digital matrix intercom. The base supports up to ten active transceiver/antennas, which can be remoted up to 1,000 meters from the base to create large, customized communications zones.
