Clear-Com® Sound Achievement Award at 2005 USITT Toronto

This prize is awarded to a young designer or technician who has demonstrated excellence or outstanding potential in the area of sound in the performing arts while pursuing a graduate degree. It was established in 1996.
Brad Ward (Sound Design & Original Music) is an MFA candidate in his final year at Yale School of Drama, where he has designed sound for A Splash of Nutmeg in Milk and The Merchant of Venice. Yale Cabaret credits include (L)Imitations of Life, You’ve Never Done Anything Unforgivable, Funeral Games and In the Heart of America. At Yale Rep, he served as associate designer for The Ladies of the Camellias and assistant designer for The Black Dahlia. In New York, You’ve Never Done Anything Unforgivable.
Brad is the 2005 recipient of the Clear-Com/USITT Award for Sound Achievement for his sound design for The Jammer at the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He is a member of the Whitney Avenue Church of Christ where he chairs the youth committee. Prior to beginning his work at Yale, Brad was Technical Director at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Brad holds a BS degree in Computer Science/Business.
