Industry leader joins award winning communication solutions company

Cambridge, UK and Emeryville, Calif – 22nd October 2005 – Vitec Group Communications, the leading broadcast intercom solutions company, announced today the appointment of Matt Danilowicz as VP Sales Americas and Asia. An industry heavyweight who was recognized as television’s “News Technology Guru”, Danolowicz has over 25 years experience of bringing technological innovations to broadcasters and media enterprises. Most recently he was VP and General Manager for Pinnacle System’s $100 million dollar broadcast division.

Previous to Pinnacle Systems, Danilowicz was vice president of business development for ParkerVision, where he facilitated the recent sale of its assets to Thomson. Prior to that, Danilowicz held the position of CEO of iNews, a global leader in television news automation solutions. His career has also encompassed roles as vice president of worldwide channel sales at Avid Technology; general manager for a start-up company in the Dynatech broadcast portfolio, and director of business development for one of the first interactive television services in the US, TV Answer, where he helped to develop a team that later created some of the first applications for America On-Line. A graduate of William and Mary with a degree in economics and English, Danilowicz is also a former economist for the US Department of Labor’s Consumer Price Index Division.
