LAN Configuration Rules
Note: | Do not plug any two LAN ports into the same LAN or VLAN. This can create a network loop affecting IP stability. |
Note: | Configuring/changing the AES67 IP address will cause the Base Station to reboot. |
AES67 Rules
AES67 should not be on the same subnet as Management unless on the same LAN port
AES67 cannot be on the same LAN port as DANTE primary or secondary
Note: | Clear-Com recommends that you configure AES67 port on the Station to a Static IP address if there is no third-party DHCP server on the network. |
IP Rules
The IP addresses cannot be in the reserved range: 10.0.0.0-10.0.0.7
The subnet mask may cause an overlap with the reserved range
The IP addresses cannot be in the LQ tunnel range 172.23.xxx.xxx
The IP addresses cannot be in the localhost range 127.xxx.xxx.xxx
The IP addresses cannot be in the multicast range 224.xxx.xxx.xxx-239.xxx.xxx.xxx
Static IP Rules
The static IP addresses cannot be in link local range: 169.254.xxx.xxx

Dante Rules
Dante primary and secondary cannot be on the same LAN port (rear connector)
Management Rules
You cannot disable the Management LAN.
