Setting the microphone type

Use this setting to specify the type of microphone you are using. You can also allow the beltpack to automatically detect what kind of microphone is present.

To enter the beltpack menu, press and hold the Menu key.
Use the rotary and Menu Select keys to select Settings > Mic Options > Mic Type.
Use either rotary control to select between:

Automatic (default)

Electret

Dynamic Unbalanced

To confirm the selection and exit the menu screen, press the Menu Select key (D).

Note:

If automatic headset detection is ON:

Dynamic headset is detected if microphone impedance is between 90 – 320 Ohms

Electret headset is detected if microphone impedance is between 1.3 – 6.5 kOhms.
