Military, Aerospace & Government - ARCHIVE

Clear-Com intercom systems provide solutions for almost any communications need in the Military, Aerospace and Government world. The system is a specifically-configured communications solution intended to connect individuals who are working on the same project at the same time. As opposed to the classic telephone system, a Clear-Com system can provide a secure, highly reliable, low latent path which allows communication between two or hundreds of people simultaneously.

Five Things We Learned at InfoComm, And What We’re Bringing to IBC

Author: Katherine Moore

InfoComm 2025 was a whirlwind in all the best ways, packed aisles, energized conversations, and more face-to-face moments than we’ve had in years. As always, it wasn’t just a chance to showcase what’s new; it was an opportunity to truly listen and learn from the people who rely on our solutions every day.

And we’re not slowing down. With IBC just around the corner, we’re carrying these insights straight into Amsterdam.

Here are five big takeaways from Orlando, and how they’re shaping what you’ll see from Clear-Com next.

1. The demand for hybrid workflows is accelerating.

It’s no surprise that IP continues to be a hot topic, but what stood out this year is how many customers are actively blending IP and traditional intercom into the same workflows. We saw trends of broadcasters layering in remote production and rental houses prepping for more IP-heavy shows, noting that flexibility is top of mind.

Arcadia® Central Station, with its ability to integrate a range of wired and wireless systems under a single IP backbone, turned out to be exactly the kind of hybrid solution many were hoping to see. Expect even more examples of these hybrid workflows at IBC.

2. In-depth workflow discussions are more valuable than ever.

Across the show floor, we had detailed conversations with users, consultants, and integrators about the future of their productions. It wasn’t just about specs or new features, it was about solving very specific challenges.

One systems integrator put it best:

“Seeing how these solutions fit into our workflow is what matters most.”

Marco Lopez, Chief Technology Officer, added:
“That’s exactly why we come to these shows. It’s not to give people a generic pitch, it’s to sit down, dig into their workflow, and figure out how to make it better. Those conversations are what drive our roadmap and have led to award winning solution like FreeSpeak Icon and our cloud intercom system Gen-IC”

We’re bringing that same spirit of tailored discussions to IBC, ready to explore how our solutions can meet your exact needs.

3. Rental & staging needs are evolving fast.

Many of our conversations were with rental and live events professionals who are navigating tighter turnaround times and bigger technical asks. They’re looking for solutions that are fast to deploy, easy to scale, and bulletproof on show day.

Several rental houses shared how various products in the FreeSpeak® family (including the 4-time InfoComm 2025 best in show FreeSpeak Icon beltpack!)  have become staples in their inventory because of that reliability, and were eager to explore how new updates to Arcadia could further consolidate racks and simplify transport. We’ll have more to show (and more success stories to share) at IBC.

4. Sustainability is becoming a serious decision factor.

This year we heard more customers ask about longevity, servicing, and what happens to gear at end-of-life. It’s clear that sustainability is starting to influence purchasing decisions, with many teams wanting to invest in products that are built to last and backed by long-term support.

Clear-Com President Bob Boster shared:

“It’s encouraging to see sustainability move beyond marketing talk and become a real decision driver. We take pride in building systems that last, some of our comms have been running for decades, and that’s a story we’ll continue to tell. Arcadia is a perfect example. It’s the only intercom platform that delivers hundreds of ports while consolidating all your I/O, analog to digital, wired to wireless, into just 1RU. That means dramatically less rack space, lower power consumption, and reduced HVAC load.”

It’s a topic we’re passionate about too, and one we’ll be talking more about in Amsterdam. For a more in-depth peak into our sustainability initiatives, check out our full dedication here.

5. The industry is hungry for training and education.

Getting crews up to speed on new tech and learning best practices for integrating IP and traditional systems are pivotal, and one thing was clear at InfoComm: people want more resources. We had countless great discussions about how Clear-Com can support users beyond the hardware itself, from training workshops to better documentation and online tools.

Look for more live demos, expert sessions, and educational resources in our dedicated service and support page. There, you can find training dates, webinars, training videos and more!

See you at IBC!

To everyone who visited the Clear-Com booth at InfoComm, thank you. These conversations are what drive us to keep growing, and to make sure we’re building the solutions you actually need. If we missed you in Orlando, we hope to see you in Amsterdam.
