By Bob Boster, President

Looking forward to 2026, I’ve found myself reflecting on how 2025 has been, in many ways, unlike any other. It was a year marked by undeniable headwinds, forces outside of our control that challenged everyone in the communications space. As we reflect on 2025, it’s also the first Year in Review without Mitzi Dominguez at the helm, whose visionary leadership over decades shaped so much of what Clear-Com has achieved. And yet, within that context, it was also a year that showcased the best of what Clear-Com can do: support our customers as they create moments that help people laugh, cry, cheer, and connect.

A Year of Meaningful Customer Visits

My favorite part of this job remains getting out into the field and seeing our solutions at work. This year, that took me all over the world.

At Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, I watched a Benfica men’s match from behind the scenes, seeing Clear-Com power the match-day production that brings millions together. In Rio de Janeiro, I had the privilege of experiencing a Flamengo match at the iconic Maracanã, followed by visits to TV Globo’s broadcast facilities.

Brazil also offered some remarkable perspective on scale: the immense sanctuaries and broadcast operations at Aparecida and Deus É Amor both rely on Clear-Com to coordinate events that bring tens of thousands together every week.

Back in the U.S., live sports continued to be a bright spot for us. From Snapdragon Stadium supporting the SD Wave, to the production teams at Providence Park and PayPal Park, it’s clear that our footprint in women’s soccer and live sports more broadly has grown dramatically this year.

One personal highlight: attending the NWSL Championship at PayPal Park, 18,000 fans in attendance, and Clear-Com on comms. It was thrilling to see that energy up close.

Across the Atlantic, I also spent time with MRTC in the UK, our longtime motorsports Partner supporting productions across Formula 1, Formula E, WEC, and more.

These visits continue to reaffirm the heart of our mission: to enable the people who bring the world’s most important moments to life.

Growing Strength in Live Sports

If there’s one market where this year’s momentum was unmistakable, it’s live sports. Our systems are increasingly important for match-day and in-venue operations at stadiums, arenas, and broadcast centers across the globe. This sector was not immune to the challenges of 2025, but the growth we achieved, particularly in the Americas and EMEA, showcasing both the quality of our technology and the trust of our customers.

A Breakout Year for Gen-IC

Personally, one of the developments I’m most excited about this year is the explosive adoption of Gen-IC, our virtual intercom solution for productions that need intercom on demand.

The use case diversity has been outstanding:

  • A virtual broadcast company in New Jersey using Gen-IC to completely rethink remote production workflows, as CTO Marco Lopez spotlighted on social media

  • Deep BV, a maritime survey company in the Netherlands, using Gen-IC to link engineers onshore with survey teams at sea

Navigating Challenges and Finding Success Regardless

It would be disingenuous not to acknowledge that 2025 was a hard year globally, for reasons well outside the control of any single company. These challenges impacted supply chains, decision-making cycles, and how organizations planned investments.

And yet, when we look at what we accomplished in spite of those challenges, the picture is remarkably positive. We advanced our core technologies, expanded in key markets, strengthened customer relationships, and built the foundation for an exciting 2026.

Sometimes the best measure of a company’s health is its resilience and Clear-Com proved resilient in every way that matters.

Looking Toward 2026: Innovation on the Horizon

Without giving too much away, 2026 will be a banner year for new Clear-Com technology, including new solutions that evolve our flagship systems, and continue our push into virtualized workflows. We can’t wait to share what’s coming.

A Personal Note: Remembering Tom Stoppard

This year, the world lost playwright Tom Stoppard, whose work has long inspired me. One of his most brilliant pieces, Arcadia, explores the intersections of order and chaos, a tension I often think about in our own Arcadia Central Station development. It’s a reminder that even in complexity, there is elegance. His passing feels particularly significant given our deep commitment to the live theatre world he helped shape.

In Gratitude

As we close out the year, I am filled with gratitude for the customers who trust us, the Partners who collaborate with us, and the teams who put their hearts into this work every day.

Most importantly, I’m grateful that the opportunities for Clear-Com to contribute to the things that matter, performances, broadcasts, matches, services, the moments that make us laugh, cry, celebrate, and reflect, are growing, not shrinking.

Here’s to a 2026 filled with creativity, and connection.
