Communication for Arena Operations

At sports arenas all over the world, there is an expectation that the entertainment in the building is equal to the game itself. The carefully coordinated fan experience can start with an aircraft flyover and continue with giant video screen games and crowd shots - all interlaced with the action on the field.

How It Works

Digital Partyline connects staff on wired beltpacks and remote stations throughout the arena. An IP interface also allows the partyline system to connect staff on IP phone systems, two-way radios and mobile devices. Additionally, wireless transceivers are placed throughout the arena allowing mobile camera staff and talent to communicate through wireless beltpacks.

Application Notes

The HelixNet Digital Partyline uses a LAN to carry communication over network switches to individual remote stations. The LQ Series IP interface extends communication to 3rd party communication devices like IP phones and two-way radios. The LQ device also allows for eight licenses of the Agent-IC mobile app. Agent-IC works on any iOS or leading Android device - it gives users a multi-channel virtual panel that can take a signal from Wi-Fi, LTE and 3G transmitters. The addition of FreeSpeak II to the system allows for mobile staff to communicate from anywhere in the arena.

Communications for Arena Operations with Rental Comms

Certain types of events may require the need for additional communication equipment. Via the LQ Series IP interface with 2-wire I/O, an analog partyline system with a wide device breadth fits perfectly. With a simple integration methodology, the Encore Analog Partyline system is both flexible and extremely reliable. Providing endpoints such as beltpacks, speaker stations and multiple desktop options, Encore greatly augments and scales an existing communication infrastructure.
