Students and course participants gain hands-on experience with professional wired, wireless and IP-based communications at Poland’s Sectoral Skills Centre for Recording and Sound Reinforcement
ALAMEDA, USA – September 30, 2026 – Clear-Com® is supporting the education and development of future audiovisual industry professionals in Poland through the deployment of its Arcadia® Central Station at the Sectoral Skills Centre for Recording and Sound Reinforcement in Łódź. Arcadia serves as the central production communications hub at the Centre, connecting studios, control rooms, lecture rooms and other areas throughout the facility. As part of the Centre's hands-on training environment, the system gives students and course participants the opportunity to work directly with professional intercom technology. The audio technology installed at the Sectoral Skills Centre was supplied and implemented by Commercial Audio, the Polish distributor of Clear-Com solutions.
Established at the Complex of Schools and Educational Institutions of Modern Technologies of Łódź, the Sectoral Skills Centre was created to provide students and course participants with practical skills and access to technologies used across the modern audiovisual industry. The Centre specializes in recording production, sound reinforcement and the operation of advanced audio and production communication systems.
The project is supported by the Audio Engineering Society (AES), an international organization dedicated to audio engineering and the advancement of the industry. The Centre brings together education, professional organizations and technology suppliers to create an environment where participants can develop hands-on experience with professional audiovisual workflows.
Advanced Audiovisual Infrastructure
The Centre features modern lecture rooms, recording studios and control rooms designed to operate within a full-IP environment. Its facilities include studios and control rooms for Dolby Atmos production, a Solid State Logic System T console, a Solid State Logic Live Series console, an immersive sound system and active acoustic solutions from Amadeus Acoustics.
The facility's network infrastructure is based on NETGEAR AV Series switches, with audio distributed over a Dante Audio-over-IP network. Together, these technologies create an environment that reflects the increasingly connected workflows used in professional recording studios, performance venues, broadcast facilities and live events.
Clear-Com and NETGEAR have a strategic partnership to provide high-performance networking solutions for professional AV applications, including OEM networking solutions designed to integrate with Clear-Com intercom and Audio-over-IP systems. The partnership brings together Clear-Com's expertise in professional communications with NETGEAR's networking technology to support reliable, low-latency AV environments.
Clear-Com at the Center of Production Communications
Arcadia serves as the central production hub, providing connectivity between studios, control rooms, lecture rooms and other areas throughout the facility. Arcadia integrates with the Centre's Dante network and works alongside multiple HelixNet® Digital Partyline beltpacks and FreeSpeak® II wireless beltpacks.
This configuration gives students and course participants the opportunity to gain practical experience with professional intercom technology while learning how wired, wireless and IP-based communications can work together within a modern production environment.
By incorporating Clear-Com technology into the Centre's infrastructure, participants can experience communication workflows similar to those used by professional production teams. The hands-on environment is designed to help prepare the next generation of audiovisual professionals for the technical requirements of an evolving industry.
