Clear-Com offers a range of system solutions for Marine and offshore applications, from basic partyline systems such as Encore to the advanced Eclipse HX digital matrix solution that is designed to integrate a large number of endpoints and provide granular control. A key requirement in many situations includes the ability to maintain communication while roaming freely, and Clear-Com offers several options, including the DX410 handsfree all-in-one solution, as well as FreeSpeak systems and the Agent-IC mobile app. Integration with other systems including two-way radios and SIP or VoIP telephony is provided by LQ IP interfaces and Trilogy Mercury Interface Units.

Arcadia Central Station

Arcadia® Central Station is a scalable IP intercom platform integrating both wired and wireless capability. The flexibility and scale make Arcadia a great fit for marine and offshore use. A single 1RU box can connect all decks with wired speaker/mic boxes where individuals are in stationary areas or provide beltpack and headset communications for anyone who needs full mobility around a ship or platform. As the need for greater capacity grows or a new feature is needed, field deployable Licensed Port Upgrades can be used to increase Arcadia’s intercom footprint up to 180 communication endpoints. Arcadia provides 2-wire, 4-wire, SFP and GPIO connections allowing both analog and digital intercom capability including the full range of FreeSpeak® products (E1/IP TCVRs; 1.9, 2.4 and 5 GHz beltpacks), HelixNet® Wired Intercom (HRM-4X, HKB-2X, and HXII-BP), and Dante Audio Network Interfaces. The Central Station allows the user a total number of ports of 128 – with port licenses available in increments of 16.

Encore Analog Partyline

Encore for Industrial & Marine is ideal for small to mid-size operations that require a few intercom positions and a minimal number of group conversations. The Encore 800 Series for Industrial & Marine products are specifically designed and certified in accordance with DNVGL-CG-0339, asbestos-free, and IEC 60945 Compass Safety distance conformity. The 800 series beltpacks are also designed for use in harsh environments, and are IP-53 rated to be water, salt-mist, and dust resistant.

Clear-Com Encore provides users with fast, simple and instant access to communicate with another team member, or a group of other users. Unlike simplex or half-duplex communication options, this full-duplex platform allows people (on their independent user devices) on the same channel to carry out bi-directional, conversational-style communication. Easy to install and connect over standard, two-conductor shielded mic cable, Clear-Com Encore systems have front-panel key controls or ergonomically-designed beltpacks for intuitive operations – even by the novice user. The system can scale over standard mic cable or over IP interfaces.

FreeSpeak II Digital Wireless
(1.9 GHz | 2.4 GHz)

The FreeSpeak II digital wireless system has optional beltpacks for both 1.9 GHz and 2.4 GHz systems (FSII-BP19-O2, FSII-BP24-O2) which can be used in diver hyperbaric chambers as they are specifically designed to work in high-pressure environments, operating at atmospheric pressures of 5.1 atm, 517 kPa, or 75 psi with a change of +/- 26 psi per minute without damage. FreeSpeak II transceivers can be positioned in select areas to create a wide-ranging coverage zone so that crew personnel can stay connected and move freely across multiple coverage areas.

FreeSpeak II is a distributed wireless solution that operates in multiple world-wide license-free frequency bands: 1.9 GHz and 2.4 GHz. This high-performance wireless communication system is designed for extensive communication in large-scale operations. HelixNet Digital Partyline

Ideal for vessel operations in fixed locations, HelixNet provides crystal clear digital communication on board and can seamlessly integrate with LQ Series IP interfaces for communication to on shore control centers.

HelixNet Digital Partyline is a wired digital partyline system, where all channel users can hear all talkers. HelixNet provides an easy transition for users of other communication devices by allowing users to focus on their primary task with minimal assistance or training. Users can select or be assigned any of the system’s 12 or 24 channels with independently mixed Program Audio without changes in the system configuration, wiring, crosstalk or noises.

Agent-IC Mobile App

The Agent-IC mobile app is ideally suited for on board and off board communications using Cellular or WiFi connections.

Agent-IC is a mobile app for iOS and Android devices provides a cost-effective and fast-to-deploy solution that compliments traditional intercom systems, such as Eclipse HX, Encore analog partyline and HelixNet digital partyline systems. Agent-IC operates on smart devices over 3G, 4G, LTE and WiFi networks, and ties in to the main communications system via LQ or Eclipse systems.

LQ Series IP Interfaces

LQ Series is used on vessels to facilitate communication to an on-shore command control center or it can also enable the Agent-IC mobile app that can be used on board the vessel.

LQ Series are Audio-over-IP interfaces for moving and distributing audio and communications signals to/from one or more communication points. Network geographically-dispersed audio and communications devices of any brand or technology type over secure LAN, WAN or Internet. Easily scale existing traditional communication systems for expansion and greatly enhance communication with IP capability with SIP or VoIP telephony and mobile apps.

E-IPA IP Interface Card for Eclipse HX

The E-IPA card is a high-density Audio-over-IP (AoIP) interface card for Eclipse HX frames that provides multiple IP connection types, including support for AES67 and SMPTE ST2110 audio connectivity. This IP connectivity allows communications between vessels and on-shore command centers.

The Eclipse HX digital matrix is both flexible and scalable in supporting numerous types of communication for hundreds of users on hundreds of channels. Matrix systems distribute all signals, whether those are from communication panels and beltpacks or other sources/destinations such as two-way radios, phone lines, and paging systems. Equipped with an E-IPA card, Eclipse is a fully IP matrix solution supporting all modern IP standards including AES67.
