Large campuses often support multiple sports venues and broadcast facilities that require reliable communication across geographically dispersed locations. This application demonstrates how Clear-Com enables a unified communications workflow across stadiums, arenas, and remote productions using a combination of wired, wireless, and IP-based technologies. By integrating traditional FreeSpeak® II (DECT) systems with FreeSpeak Cell beltpacks over cellular networks, teams can stay connected across campus and beyond—supporting flexible, scalable operations for live sports and event production.
How it Works
A central broadcast control room, powered by an Eclipse® HX matrix, serves as the communications hub, connecting V-Series IrisX keypanels, FreeSpeak II wireless systems, and IP-based clients such as Agent-IC®. Multiple venues—including stadiums, arenas, and athletic fields—are linked over LAN, WAN, or internet infrastructure, enabling seamless coordination between production teams. FreeSpeak II beltpacks provide reliable DECT-based wireless coverage for on-site crew, while FreeSpeak Cell beltpacks extend communication over 4G/5G cellular networks for remote locations, off-campus events, and mobile fly kits without requiring additional infrastructure. Together, these technologies create a flexible, campus-wide intercom ecosystem that supports real-time collaboration, event production, and broadcast workflows.
